Sde Eliyahu                      Volunteers

Whilst Sde Eliyahu does not run a large volunteer program as do some other kibbutzim, we do cater to a limited number of volunteers and are always on the lookout for good, reliable and hard-working people. Many volunteers are people who have finished ulpan, like the kibbutz life and wish to experience it more fully. The minimum period for volunteering is one month, although two or three months is preferred. Obviously preference is given to those wishing to stay for the longer periods.

Volunteers generally eat and work alongside kibbutz members and are given a chance to participate as fully as possible in the life of the kibbutz. Sometimes volunteers go on to become members of the kibbutz.

Since the kibbutz prides itself on adhering to strict religious practices, and due to the very limited number of space for volunteers, applicants are reviewed by the kibbutz administration. All applications are held in the strictest confidence.
